Joyce Lee (Godfrey) Mahoney, age 80, of Elgin, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Gracy Woods II Nursing Center in Austin, Texas. She was born July 5, 1940 in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Jesse and Dorothy (Hevrin) Godfrey.
Mrs. Mahoney was an office manager for financial services companies, having retired in 2017 from IPS Financial Advisors in Austin. She was an avid dollmaker specializing in porcelain dolls, and enjoyed Crochet, knitting and embroidery.
Surviving are her husband, Timothy B. Mahoney, to whom she was married on May 19, 1991 in Scottsdale, Arizona; one son, David Hussman of Tucson, Arizona; one daughter, Heather Huber and her husband, David of Athens, Alabama; and one grandson, Alex Huber of Athens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two favorite aunts: Ilene Cederquist and Mae Bumbard.
