James Erwin Nesbitt, 74, of Murrysville was born July 9, 1939, at Ellwood City Hospital, son of the late Erwin Leroy and Ruth Kildoo Rogner Nesbitt. He was the validictorian of the Zelienople High School class of 1957. He was a retired associate professor of research for the University of Pittsburgh with 34 years of service. Jim loved to play in the Murrysville Senior Softball League. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Benjamin; and a sister, Jean Nesbitt Thompson of Butler, PA.
Jim is survived by his wife, Lois Dallmeyer Nesbitt; one son, Robin James Nesbitt of York, PA; one daughter, Bonnie Ruth Nesbitt of New York City; one step-brother, Robert (Linda) Cunningham of California; a sister, Jane Nesbitt; and two nieces, Trisha Dalton and Korie Thompson, both of Butler. A memorial service for James Erwin Nesbitt, who died Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Newlonsburg Presbyterian Church, Murrysville, PA.
