Mr. Perry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law and friend. A hardworking, honest, dedicated man with a kind and gentle soul. So very generous with his time and love. An excellent golfer and a strong competitor, he loved competing, but loved winning even more.

Clever, curious, intelligent and nothing the man couldn’t fix. Lover and fan of classic country and “doo-wop” music, a huge sports fan and he loved his Tarheels.

A funeral service was held at 1 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, January 27, 2021 at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Joey Chafton officiating.

Cecil Alexander truly an honor and privilege in taking you under my wing, you are a third son my friend, Larry Averette, a very special friend and like a brother.
