THOMPSON, Edith (nee Keeton) age 78 of Florence, Kentucky and formerly of West Chester, Ohio, passed peacefully Saturday afternoon January 30, 2021. Born November 30, 1942 in Salyersville, Kentucky, Edith was the daughter of Elmer and Ivagean (nee Oney) Keeton and was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Edith was a retired receptionist and a member of the Cincinnati Primitive Baptist Church. During her spare time, Edith cherished spending time with her family, quilting and embroidery. Preceded in death by her parents, loving husband Paul Thompson in 2019, son Layman Dwayne Clark in 2005 and sister Joyce Dixon; Edith leaves behind her loving daughters Kim (Matt) Hanlon of Independence, Kentucky, Lisa (Rick) Pauley of Wilmington, Ohio and Melissa (Sean) Rugar of New Vienna, Ohio; brother Larry (Kathy) Keeton; sister Helen (Phillip) Carpenter; seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren and many other family members and dear friends.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 12pm until time of service at 1:30pm. Pastor Phillip Carpenter will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Ohio.
