Graveside Service for Gary Marlon “Walt” Lewis, 62, of Roland, Oklahoma will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery in Muldrow, Oklahoma under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on April 23, 1958 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Virginia (Brooks) Lewis and William Edward “Bill” Lewis. He said his final goodbye here on earth on January 30, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, after a brief battle with cancer.

Gary was a lifelong resident of Roland, Oklahoma, where he was raised, and where he raised his children. Gary attended Roland Schools, where he was a 1976 graduate of Roland High School. He will leave a legacy of love and kindness. His easygoing personality and quaint sense of humor defined his relationships with friends and family.

He served several years with the Fort Smith Fire Department, as well as many other endeavors. He was an Electrician. He was a man of many trades, and could fix just about anything. Walt loved to work in his yard and always had a garden. What most would think of as work, Walt considered it a hobby and fun.

He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Survivors are:

wife: Kim of the home;

2 sons: Gerard Lewis and Dylan Lewis both of Roland, OK;

3 grandchildren: Tanner, Garrett and Kyler;

1 great-grandchild;

1 brother: Eddie Lewis and Connie of Roland, OK;

nieces: Kim Lewis of Roland, OK and Stephanie Akin of Roland, OK;

nephews: Brandon Lewis of Pocola, OK and Aaron Lewis of Roland, OK;

numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Virginia Lewis; and one brother, Steven Carl Lewis.

Viewing will be 4 – 8 PM Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow, OK.
