Felicia Marie Smith (36) of Midland passed away in her home on 01/29/2021. Felicia was born on 01/01/1985 to Virginia & Patrick Smith of Midland in the middle of a Michigan snowstorm. She grew up with her younger brother, Steven by her side. She graduated from Midland Public Schools in 2005. She continued her education at Delta College in hopes of one day becoming a Social Worker to help others in need. Felicia was blessed with three beautiful daughters and a handsome son. She loved being a mother and teaching her children about kindness and unconditional love.
Felicia was an old soul at heart. She loved living life as a free spirit. She would often say, "I feel like I was supposed to grow up in the 70's". She had a passion for music and loved all genres. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty and Janice Joplin were just a few of her favorites. Her free spirit radiated like the sun especially during the summer. She loved everything about summer- late nights, sunsets, beach days, sun-kissed skin and bare feet. She was known for packing up her children on a whim and travelling to northern Michigan camping to spend time with family and close friends. She had a passion to learn more about life and the world around her.
Felicia was beautiful inside and out. She loved many people and had an amazing way of showing it. She accepted people for who they truly were. When she loved, she loved with every ounce of her heart. She always knew the right words to say to help someone navigate through a rough patch or a gloomy day, even if that meant she put her feelings aside. She was anything but ordinary. She was extraordinary and that was one of her best qualities. Felicia is loved and missed so much by so many. Her infectious smile and laughter will not be forgotten.

Felicia is survived by her four children; Grace (9), Addison (9), Lydia (5), Keygan (3), Mother & Father; Virginia Smith of Midland & Patrick Smith of Midland, Brother; Steven Smith (Cassie Smith) of Midland, Nephews; Gabriel & Clayton. Biological father; Tim Bishop of Sanford; Fiancé; Scott Kaiser of Midland; lots of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that became family over the years.
We take comfort in knowing that Felicia is not alone and was greeted at the pearly gates by her grandmothers; Loretta Smith of Midland, Betty Michalak of Midland, Sally Bishop of Midland, and cousin; Dakota Rico of Midland.
