Joseph Trotter, age 59, passed away on March 9, 2006. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on August 3, 1946. Since 1978, Joe was a resident of Corpus Christi and a servant to the Lord at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. He was a well-known landscaper who had beautified many homes here in Corpus Christi. He served hundreds of customers for over 30 years with a smile, and you could not be in his presence without becoming a good friend.
He was a loving brother, husband, father, and grandfather. Joe was a servant to all he met, was always giving of himself, and had amazing talent and love of life. Joseph was a Veteran in the United States Army where he attended the Defense Language Institute as a Russian Interpreter, and he served in Berlin. He graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia where he earned a Bachelors Degree.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Louise Trotter.
He is survived by his wife, Lani Trotter; three daughters; one granddaughter; six siblings: Dorothy Lairdieson, Norman (Sandra) Trotter, Mary Lou (Robert) Jones, Paul (Suzanne) Trotter, James (Diane) Trotter, and William Trotter, nieces, nephews and their families that Joe loved very much.
Visitation will be Monday, March 13, 2006 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited that same evening. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park with military honors. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite local charity or St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
