Patricia Ann (Hendrickson) Stevens was born July 26, 1937 in Peggs, Oklahoma to Herschel and Cora (Warren) Hendrickson. She departed this life on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 5 days.

Pat grew up in the Peggs area attending school in Peggs and graduating from Bagley Senior High School. After graduation, Pat obtained her Bachelor degree in Elementary Education from Northeastern State College in Tahlequah. Later, she received her Masters degree in business Education also from Northeastern.

On August 10, 1957 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Patricia Ann Hendrickson and Farris J. Stevens were united in Marriage. This event marked the beginning of a grand adventure that took them to Wilburton, Oklahoma where they would survive a devastating tornado that sent them back to the Tulsa area where she would create a warm and inviting home for the next 60 years.

Pat spent the bulk of her adult life teaching hundreds of students in the Tulsa Public School System primarily at Alexander Graham Bell Junior High School and Nathan Hale Senior High School. In her time outside of the classroom, she developed a tremendous talent for decorative painting and was a long-time member of the Tulsa Town Tolers.

Through the years, she was a true partner with her husband Farris and those who knew her, knew them as a single unit that was usually referenced as “Pat and Farris” or “Farris and Pat.” In this, she was the ideal model of wife, mother and teacher that lived as an example for the rest of us to strive for. We are all a little richer for having known Pat.

Pat is survived by: her son Farris Michael Stevens and wife Cydney of Austin, TX; 2 grand children: Chance and Pyper; 3 brothers: Robert Hendrickson and wife Nancy of Peggs; Ronnie Hendrickson and wife Marilyn of Tahlequah; and Rex Hendrickson and wife Shirley of Peggs; Numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, a host of friends and the 100s of students she influenced over the years.

She was preceded in death by: her husband: Farris; one daughter: Lynette; her parents; and one sister: Sandra Medlin.
