She was born April 20, 1931 in Kenosha to the late Richard and Rosalyn (Wyk) Nikolai. She was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.
Audrey married Lawrence W. Martin on October 21, 1950 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1992.
Audrey was a faithful member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
Audrey loved gardening, which she referred to "as playing in the dirt"; camping; canoeing; canning; and baking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, William Martin, Richard (Lisa) Martin, Debra (Gary) Dieter, and Barbara (Butch Haack) Reeves. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and sister, Alice Egan. She is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Nikolai; and a brother-in-law, Robert Martin.
A visitation for Audrey will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bruch Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.in at St. Mary's Catholic Church, corner of 73rd Street and 39th Avenue.
Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery.
Due to public concerns and guidelines with the CDC, we are limited to fifty people in the funeral home and St. Mary's Catholic Church, which means you may need to wait outside for a short period of time before entering. As mandated by the Governor, masks are required and social distancing will be maintained. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding during these trying times.
