Arlene E. (Davidson) 73 of Normandy Drive, Warwick, passed away on January 26, 2021 at Roger Williams Hospital after avery brief illness. She was the beloved wife and best friend to David C. Green who passed on January 1, 2019.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Blanche A. (Weeden) and David A. Davidson.

Arlene worked at Davol Rubber/CR Bard, Ferland Corporationas well as their family insurance business. She was employed at Citizens Bank for many years before her retirement.

She and David were the perfect definition of soulmates. All who knew them, knew the love they shared was genuine and true. When David passed away unexpectedly and just shy of their 50th anniversary, Arlene’s loss was deep. From vacations to Maine, Montauk, and Key West to trips to Newport, FM Station and Twin Oaks, they were inseparable.

It is difficult to put into words the impact Arlene had on all who knew her best. Family and friends are at a loss. With each milestone, Arlene maintained genuine, life-long friendships and those who knew her hold strong connections and memories for her kindness and love. She will be deeply missed for her bond with others and love for her treasured cats. Our children were her children. Lene, as everyone affectionately called her, will be missed tremendously but know she is at peace with David.

Arlene was the youngest of four children. She is predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law David and Liliane Davidson.

She is survived by her brothers Charles and his wife Joan and Edward and his wife Lucille of West Warwick and many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Due to Covid restrictions, her burial service will be held at a later date to bring her loved ones together to celebrate what an incredible soul she was.

Till then let’s all raise a glass ~ preferably a Grey Goose vodka gimlet with a splash of real lime juice, and dirty rocks on the side, and toast this amazing lady.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 – Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908
