Roy Edward Stephens
August 6, 1925 - January 27, 2021

Roy Edwards Stephens passed away Jan 27, 2021, peacefully, at home, of natural causes surrounded by his family and his loving wife. He was born in Atlanta, GA and raised his family in Decatur, GA. He became a World War 11 Honoree as a B-17 Aerial Gunner in the US Army Airforces. He went on to become an attorney and a member of the Georgia Bar Association. His speciality in law included real estate, plasma gas, and rare minerals. He is survived by his adoring wife of 76 years , Lois M Stephens of Richmond, VA. We would often find them dancing to their special love songs. He also had a love of golf and was a member of Druid Hills Country Club, and for many years a member of First Baptist Church of Decatur. He is also survived by daughter, Kathy Tucker of Brookhaven, GA and her three children, Tammy Lewis (Henry) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Michelle Hunt( Doug) of Roswell, GA, , and Tiffany Castro of Dallas,TX. Also, their children, Holly Lewis, Sarah and Douglas Hunt, and Brianna Robles. He is also survived by another daughter Victoria Williams (Jim) of High Point, NC, and their children, Adrienne Stevens of High Point, NC, Brey Williams (Ashley) of High Point, NC, and Stephanie Edwards (John) of High Point, NC. Also, their children, Olivia, Hunter, Aubrey, Leah, Emma, and Payten, Anna Claire and John 1V. All that knew Roy considered him very special...full of genuine kindness, humor, amazing wisdom, generosity and love. In lieu of flowers please contribute to a charity of your choice in his honor.
