Mr. Michael Tony Casey, age 71, of Cave Spring, GA, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021, in a Cedartown nursing facility.

Mr. Casey was born in Rome, GA on May 21, 1949, son of the late George Walter Casey and the late Susie Jane Walters Casey. He was a mechanic and prior to ill health, owned and operated Tony’s Alternator and Starter Shop. He was of the Baptist faith and loved being around his horses and his canine friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by several siblings.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Hefner Casey, to whom he was married on August 29, 1994; a stepson, Shannon Duncan, Dutton, AL; 3 brothers, Joe Casey (Joyce), Rome, Everett Casey, Cave Spring, and Dwight Casey, Rome; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, at 2pm in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. The Rev. Robert Eaves will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel on Wednesday from 1pm until time for the service. Social distancing guidelines will be followed.

Pallbearers serving are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel at 1:30pm on Wednesday and include: Ricky Williams, John Sissom, Jeremy Casey, and Joshua Casey.

Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, has charge of the funeral arrangements.
