HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA - Man was fatally stabbed at a park in Huntington Beach Wednesday night, shaking up a usually quiet neighborhood.
The incident happened at Lark View Park on the 17000 block of Fraser Lane near Summerdale Drive at about 9:45pm.
Area residents said he heard a lot of commotion and stepped out of his home. He saw the victim on the ground with multiple injuries to his torso. He and his mother, who is a nurse, tried to help the victim, but it was too late. Another resident also tried to provide aid after one of the victim's friends came to his door, pleading for someone to call the police. His wife called 911 while he checked on the victim. The victim, checked his vitals and he was hardly breathing, about once every 20 seconds, and his blood pulse was low.
Authorities described the victim as a 19-year-old male resident of Huntington Beach. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The victim's family has been notified.
