Harry G. Adams, 92, of State Route 103 South, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021 at his home.

Born Sept. 2, 1928 in Yeagertown, he was a son of the late Hiram and Kathryn (George) Adams. His wife, Betty J. (Swartz) Adams, whom he married Oct. 27, 1951, survives.

Also surviving are: two daughters, Karen D. Stimely and husband Steven of McVeytown, Gayle E. Mumper and husband Mike of McVeytown; four granddaughters, Beth White, Amy Franklin, Michelle Hesser, Dana Grove; eight great grandchildren, Demma Franklin, Rylan White, Rebecca Hesser, Laura Hesser, Dustin Hesser, Morgan Grove, Gabe Grove, Luke Grove; and two great grandchildren, Kaylyn and Ember Ferguson.

Preceding him in death were four brothers, two sisters, and a great grandson, Zeb Franklin.

He was employed as a carpenter for Robert S. Palm General Contractor for 30 years.

A member of the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren, he also served as a deacon and on various church boards and committees.

He enjoyed repairing small engines for his family, friends, and neighbors.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021 at the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren with Pastor Randy Fiske officiating. Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery.

A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
