Roger was a 1968 graduate of James Buchanan High School, Mercersburg. Following graduation, he enlisted in the US Air Force and served for 23 years. Upon retirement from the Air Force he was employed by D. L. Martin Company, Mercersburg, from May 1992 until July 2009.
He enjoyed hunting and visiting various local veterans’ clubs.
Roger was a member of the following American Legion Posts, #606 of Ft. Loudon, #612 of St. Thomas, #517 of Mercersburg, #373 of Greencastle, and Mercersburg Moose Lodge #1790.
Surviving family include two sisters, Bonnie L. Riley and Tamela L. Riley Henry both of White Plains, NY, two brothers, Samuel L. Riley, Jr. of St. Thomas, Donald E. Riley of Mercersburg, ten nieces and nephews and one great niece and one great nephew.
