Willis, 79, of Pitkin died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, in Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.
He was a resident of Pitkin and a member of Occupy No. 2 Baptist Church. He was a World War II veteran and a retired millwright for Calcasieu Paper Company.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Pearlie Thompson Willis
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Willis of Pitkin four sons, Floyd Willis, Lloyd Willis, Matthew Willis Jr. and Roger Willis, all of Pitkin one daughter, Bobbie Maricle of Pitkin one sister, Elaine Thompson of Pitkin two brothers, Stewart Willis and Ruben Willis, both of Pitkin 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
