Lewis Fairl Powell, Sr., 87, passed away January 26, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Lela Powell. He is survived by his wife, Faye Powell; children, Lewis Fairl Powell, Jr (Buddy) and his wife, Cheryl Chambliss Powell and Angela Lea Powell Horton (Sissy) and her husband, Felix T. Horton, Jr.; grandchildren, Ethan Lewis Powell, Aaron Lane Powell, Lucas Bryant Horton, Mallory Leanna Whorton and her husband, Nathan Paul Whorton. He is also survived by his great grandchild, Paul Lewis Whorton.
Mr. Powell served for 4 years in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Prattville Masonic Lodge for 48 years. Mr. Powell was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
Services for Mr. Powell will be Monday, February 1, 2021 at Ridouts Prattville Chapel at 12:00 PM with the visitation from 10:00 -12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Prattville Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Buddy Powell, Billy Powell, Luke Horton, Ethan Powell, Aaron Powell and Felix Horton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Danny Ingram, Ricky Cottle and Specialist Nathan Whorton, US Army.
Mr. Powell served for 4 years in the US Navy during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Prattville Masonic Lodge for 48 years. Mr. Powell was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
