She was born on December 26, 1940, to Frederick and Violet (Filz) Krablean in Appleton, WI. Pat graduated from Menasha High School in 1959.
In 1960, she married Keith ‘Pete’ Matthews. They were married for 59 years and were blessed with three children. Pat was a loving mother who stayed at home to care for her children. When the children were a little older, she cleaned houses privately. She then worked as a breakfast manager at Burger King for almost 20 years; later leaving employment to care for her grandchildren.
In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and needlework, cooking, roller skating, and was an avid watcher of the Hallmark channel. Pat was a long-time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Neenah, where she was involved in youth group leadership and taught Sunday school.
She is survived by her sister Carol ‘Koko’ Green; brother Frederick ‘Rick’ (Lin) Krablean; sister-in-law, Penny (John) Miracle; three children: sons, Daniel (Lori) Matthews and David Matthews, and her daughter Wendy (Scott) Behling; six grandchildren: Eric (Mandy) Matthews, Stephen Matthews, Benjamin Matthews, Matthew Wiegman, Hannah Behling and Megan Behling; and three great-grandchildren: Adalynn Matthews, Ryan Matthews, and Lana Matthews. She is further survived by many dear nieces and nephews.
Her life will be celebrated in a private service and Pat will be laid to rest at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Appleton. The service will be livestreamed at 12:00 PM on Saturday, January 30, 2021, and can be accessed right here via Pat’s obituary page.
