Jesse "Don" Donard Adams was the son of Jesse "Jess" Adams and Bessie "Bess" Baker.
An engineer on the Grand Coulee Dam construction, Don married the daughter of the local hotel owner, June McDonald of Almira, Lincoln County, Washington. They moved shortly afterwards to California where Don worked in shipbuilding for the war effort, and later as a second hand car salesman.
They had three children:
1. Living
2. Monte Donard dams
3. Sally J. Adams (1944-2022)
Don and June divorced Don's his second wife was Irma.
When Don set up his own flooring business, Irma worked alongside him six days a week. They retired to Walnut Creek.
Don died of a heart attack following surgery in 1986.
He was survived by both his wife Irma and ex-wife June.
