Gladys was the Drivers License clerk for the Texas Department of Public Safety for 21 years. She was also a past president of Muleshoe PTA, and was presented a Life Time Membership to the Texas State PTA. Gladys is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene in 1999; her parents; two sisters; three brothers; and a granddaughter, Holly Saylor.
Gladys is survived by her three sons, Stan Black and his wife Pat of Frisco, Texas, Cliff Black and his wife, Carren of Muleshoe, Texas and Steve Black and his wife, Vicki of Muleshoe, Texas; her daughter, Marilyn Black of Muleshoe, Texas; ten grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
