Eunice E. Sanders, 95, of Willmar, died Sunday, October 25th at Carris Health Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, Minnesota.

Eunice Evelyn Sanders was born June 8, 1925, in Arctander Township in Kandiyohi County, Minnesota, to Edwin and Emma (Skare) Hauge. She attended country school in District 23 and Kerkhoven High School. On June 8, 1946, she was united in marriage to Chester Sanders at East Norway Lake Lutheran Church and they farmed near Sunburg in Kerkhoven Township in Swift County. Minnesota. To this union, three daughters were born. Eunice helped with milking of the cows and field work. Her Christian faith and music were an important part of her life. She was very active at church, singing in the choir, providing special music, singing with her keyboard, participating in Bible Study, and volunteering in the kitchen or wherever needed. Her family cherished the love and devotion she showered on each one of them. She loved family gatherings. Eunice was very proud of her Norwegian heritage and loved going to the Kultur Hus in Sunburg to speak Norwegian. She enjoyed making lefse, baking bread and other goodies, sewing, and quilting. In June 2019, she moved to Sunrise Village Independent Living in Willmar, where she lived until the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Chester in 2003; great-grandson: Owen Magnuson in 2008; her parents; a sister: Mamie (and Alfred) Johnson; brothers: Marvin (and Ruth) Hauge and Lester (and Nancy) Hauge; and in-laws: Christopher & Nellie Sanders, Lloyd (and Harriet) Sanders, and Elmo (and Marie) Sanders.
