Rayford Wayne Barnes, 82 of Campbell, passed away on Wednesday January 6, 2021 at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas.

Wayne, son of Henry and Arkie Johnson Barnes, was born on Thursday September 15, 1938 in Bexar, Alabama.

He was a retired Paramedic and attended the South Canaan General Baptist Church; also a Veteran of the United States Army.

On October 26, 1959 in Piggott, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Nowedia “Sis” Neal. She preceded him in death on November 16, 2009. He later married Myrtle Abott, on October 24, 2011 in Barton, Tennessee. She survives.

Other survivors include, one daughter, Mona Giannini and husband, Al of Olive Branch, Mississippi; two sons, Steve Long and Rick Long both of Olive Branch, Mississippi; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Edith Lyons of Campbell and Mary Ruth Shrum of Senath; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents; son, Scotty Wayne Barnes and brother, Wade Barnes.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m., Monday, January 11, 2021 at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell with funeral service beginning at 12 noon, with Reverend Mark Odle officiating. Burial will follow in Elder Cemetery in Campbell.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
