Esther was the 2nd of seven children born to Thomas and Nina (Turner) Devlin. She married Milton John Walden in 1921; their children were Cecil Milton, Harriet Ann and Willis Ralph. Milton and Esther were divorced and he moved to Park River and took Cecil with him. Esther, Harriet and Willis remained in Drayton and lived with her parents. Esther's cause of death was cancer.
