John Watts

John “Bill” J. Watts, 84, of Fred, died Friday, January 29, 2021. He was born on August 7, 1936, in Silsbee, to Goldie Freeman Watts and John D. Watts. Mr. Watts proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Watts; daughter, Linda Pate of Fred; grandsons, Joshua Lynn Stewart and his wife, Mindy, of Jennings, Louisiana and Jacob Daniel Stewart and his wife, Jessica, of Monroe, Louisiana; great-grandchildren, Katelyn Danyel Stewart and Joshua Lynn Stewart; and siblings, Laverne Blanchard and her husband, Wayne, of Silsbee; Robert Wayne Watts and his wife, Linda, of Fred; Ima Jean Anding of Warren; and Charlene Garsee and her husband, Prentice, of Warren. He is preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Agnes White and Betsy Spell.

A gathering of Mr. Watts’ family and friends will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, February 1, 2021, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at Broussard’s, with his interment to follow at Franks Branch Cemetery, Fred.
