Patricia Nyberg, 73, passed away on January 28, 2021 at EveryStep Kavanagh House in Des Moines, IA. A private family burial will be held at Glendale Cemetery on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
Patricia was born to Raymond and Lucille (Kaska) Allender on May 18, 1947 in Des Moines, IA. She graduated from St Joseph’s Academy in West Des Moines and attended Northwest Missouri State. Patty, oftentimes affectionately called “Moomer,” was known for her vivacious laugh and had a heart of gold. She was well known for her perfectly coordinated outfits, and we believe she is the best dressed angel in heaven. She took great pride in feeding her family an astonishingly hot and tasty dinner every Wednesday night, and everyone who knew her knew not to call during her shows.
Patricia is preceded in death by her son, Christopher Nyberg and her parents.
Patricia is survived by her children, Cory (Anne-Catherine) Nyberg of Bergen, Norway, Ryan (Jennifer) Nyberg of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Jamie (Nathan) Stanton of Urbandale, Iowa; sisters, Nancy (Jim) Sharpe and LuAnn Foote; and grandchildren, Emma and Sara Nyberg, Jack and Lauren Nyberg, Jacob, Kielyn, and Quinten Nyberg, and Kolby, Cooper, and Kendall Stanton.
