Barbara "Ginger" Roark, 85, a lifelong resident of Birchwood, passed away peacefully from her residence early on Friday morning January 29, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Hermas Baker and Virginia Ruth Moore Baker. Her husband, Jesse Roark also preceded her in death along with her sisters, Jack Stokes, Ann Guinn, Debbie Willis and her brothers, Charles Farris and Jerry Farris. Ginger had previously been the longtime cook at Birchwood School and was retired from Schering-Plough. She was a lifelong member of Birchwood Baptist Church.

Survivors include: two daughters, Alice Jaylene Morgan and her husband Franklin of Cleveland, Jill Musgrove of Birchwood; one granddaughter, Karrie Morgan and one great granddughter, Landi Simms both of Cleveland; sisters, Judy Lawhorn of Cleveland, Rickey Stanley of Georgia, Penny Hiefnar of Cleveland; one brother, David Farris of Birchwood. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Remembrance of Life service will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Birchwood Baptist Church with Reverend Bob Schafer officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Jackie Neeley, David Moon, Hal Smith, Chip Roark, Allen Randolph and Eddie Rawlston serving as pallbearers.
