John “Johnny” H. Honeycutt III, age 70 of Chadbourn, entered into the presence of his Lord on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Duke University Hospital in Durham.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday (February 2, 2021) at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Floyd Parker and Dr. David Vess officiating.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Kay Nance Honeycutt of the home; sons and daughters, Teresa L. Honeycutt (Paddy) of Chadbourn, Jonathan D. Honeycutt (Katie) of Chadbourn, Hope Hammond (Justin) of Raleigh and Wade Williamson (Amy) of Cerro Gordo; two siblings, Ginny H. Buffkin (Dorian) of Daniel Island, SC and Philip L. Honeycutt (Cindy) of Chadbourn; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the “Honeycutt Scholarship Fund”, c/o Chadbourn Baptist Church, 504 N. Howard Street, Chadbourn, NC 28431.

The service will be streamed live on the Worthington Funeral Home Facebook page.
