Ernest E. Clark, 70, of Sylvania, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 surrounded by his family.
Clark was born on February 8, 1950 in Lowmansville, Kentucky. He was raised by David and Ruth (Christianson) Clark in Vermillion, Ohio. He was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School before serving in the United States Army Reserve. Clark married Darlene Bell and together, they had three children. He was a dedicated husband and father with a quick wit and a kind heart. He enjoyed restoring cars, riding motorcycles, and sport shooting.
Clark was an honest and hardworking man. He was employed by Parkview Hospital for more than 25 years as well as Spring Meadows and Sisters of St. Francis. He came out of retirement to maintain cars at AAA, pursuing a passion.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Darlene, whom he married in February of 1974; his children, Clifton (Sheri) Clark, Heather Clark, and Katelin Clark; and his sister, Eleanor Roush. He is preceded by his parents, David and Ruth.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 West Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43623. Committal will be private.
