George R. Sullivan, 85 of Crumpton, MD passed away on January 20, 2021 surrounded by his loving wife and daughter at home.

Mr. Sullivan was born on April 20, 1935 in Long Beach, CA, and raised in Miami. He was the son of a Naval Officer the late Joseph O. and Josephine Wittort Sullivan. At the age of 13 he was diagnosed with Polio and was determined to fight this disability. He began his 50 plus career in aviation, working as a manager for Foreign Air forces including China, Taiwan, and Iran, and received the Charles Taylor Award for Master Mechanics. He retired from Scott Paper Company Aviation Division. George was a life member of the 187 Assault Helicopter Co. and was a member of the Massey Air Museum and Vietnam Helicopter Crewman's Assoc.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Ret. CMD Joseph Sullivan, USNA.

Mr. Sullivan is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mali Safdarian Sullivan; daughter, Layla Sullivan of Newark, DE; a sister, Patricia Sullivan McEwen of Miami, FL; nephews, Robert 'Bobby' McEwen and Joseph 'Joey' Sullivan and other nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of his life will be announced at a later time.
