Hattie Louise Roberts Smith, 81, Lenoir, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 while at Hickory Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center in Granite Falls.
She was born on October 11, 1939 in Caldwell County to the late Stephen "Steve" Elisha Roberts and Leila Carolina Newton.
She was also preceded by her husband of 63 years, David James Smith; three brothers, Clyde Matthew Roberts, John Lawton Roberts and Fred Steve Roberts; three sisters, Pauline Katherine Roberts Smith, Geneva Frances Roberts Bumgarner and Oleta Florence Roberts Harrison.
Surviving include her sons; Jason (Fletcher) Smith, Daniel (Krystal) Smith; grandchildren, Jacob Smith and Lexi Smith; sisters, Ruth Kincaid, Mary Bumgarner and Lila Harrison; brother, Jack (Dana) Roberts.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in the chapel of Pendry’s Lenoir Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Hedgecock and Rev. Edd Warren officiating.
Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
