ABINGDON, Va.
Mrs. Frances Marie Reynolds, age 85, a wonderful woman of God, has gone to be with the Lord. She passed away at her home in Brumley Gap, on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.

Frances was a devout Christian and a member of Morning Star Church. She had a love for gardening, cooking and spending time with family.

Frances was born in Washington County, Va., on April 18, 1935, to the late William Henry and Fannie Wise Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John Warden Reynolds; five sisters, Goldie Gilley, Dixie Reynolds, Dorothy Christine Duncan, Beulah Bishop and Coletis Helton; and three brothers, the Rev. Dale Duncan, Herbert Duncan and Earnest Duncan.

She is survived by four sons, Willis Wayne Reynolds, Darrell Reynolds, David Reynolds and wife, Patricia, and Michael Reynolds; three daughters, Lisa Grimsley and husband, James, Patty Locke and husband, Dickey, and Tamara Hines; one brother, the Rev. Clifton Duncan and wife, Lora; ten grandchildren, Matthew Reynolds, Jason Reynolds, Sabrina Morris, Cassidy Grimsley, Autumn Locke, Cody Hines, Madison Grimsley, Summer Locke, Alexis Hines and Payton Hines; and five great-grandchildren, Cole Reynolds, Dominick Reynolds, Katie Reynolds, Cheyenne Reynolds and Lyncoln Reynolds.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Joanna Shelton, the caregivers over the years and the nurses and staff at Ballad Health Hospice.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 until 2 p.m., Sunday, January 31, 2021, at the Frost Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Roger Hearl officiating. Music will be provided by The New Chestnut Grove Quartet. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. The family will also be receiving friends at Mrs. Reynolds home.

Pallbearers will be Randy Duncan, Wayne Helton, Roger Hearl, Jr., Cody Hines, Matthew Reynolds, Jason Reynolds, Freddy Duncan, James Grimsley and Dickey Locke.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Brumley Gap Fire Dept.

In accordance with COVID-19 regulations, all those attending services are asked to wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines.
