Betty Ruth McDonald, 81, of Cameron, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in a Temple hospital. Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Ms. McDonald, retired hairdresser, was born April 15, 1939 in Leon County to Harmon Gerald and Leatrice (Boykin) Pate. She had also worked as the manager of the Cameron Thrift Store. She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Leatrice Pate, by a sister Norma Frazier and a son-in-law, Gary Pate. She is survived by: Son Ed McDonald of Cameron, Daughters Cynthia Pate of McKinney, TX, Deborah Cooper & husband Dale of Rockdale, ReNae Dart & husband Charles of Cameron; Brother Kenneth Pate & wife Carol of Clinton, MS; Sisters Marie Chaneyworth of Frankston, TX, Kathy Brabston of Slidell, LA,Vicky Knight of Allen, TX, Sandra Hardy of Mesquite, TX, Doris Counts of Farmersville, TX; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Cameron Thrift Store.
