Eric D. Haynes Eric D. Haynes, age 30, of Erie, died Saturday, March 3, 2007 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Erie on May 17, 1976, son of Duane and Susan Ford of Edinboro. Eric was a 1994 graduate of General McLane High School and was employed with Airgas Welding Supply as an account manager. He was a member of South Harborcreek United Methodist Church. Eric was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps; serving in Liberia, and was part of the team that evacuated the embassy in Sierra Leone, receiving a Combat Action Ribbon for Liberia. He loved hunting, fly-fishing, backpacking, golfing, camping and especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his two dogs, Sniper and Brookie. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife Amanda Cichocki Haynes; three sisters, Heidi Haynes and Jenna Herbstritt (Christopher) all of Erie and Amy Mosconi (John) of Cambridge Springs; grandparents, Charlotte and David Therasse of Edinboro; his father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Pamela Cichocki; brother-in-law, Thomas Cichocki; sister-in-law, Amy Cichocki; step-sister, Brittni Haines; step-brother, Brandon Wright; one niece and several nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Willis and Rachael Ford and mother-in-law, Barbara Lyle Cichocki. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home, Inc., East on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a funeral service there on Tuesday at 10 a.m. conducted by Rev.
