Philip was born in Piqua, OH on September 15, 1952 to the late John A. and Ruth (Coblentz) Campbell.
On May 27, 2006 in Piqua, OH he married Rosita “DeeDee” (Hager) Campbell and she survives.
Philip is also survived by four daughters and sons-in-law: Julia and Bret Atkins, Piqua, Erica Campbell and Tony Cox, Piqua, Heidi and Abraham Garrett, Georgetown, KY, and Wendy Branscum Sullenberger, Piqua; one son: Philip Joshua Campbell, Princeton, IN; two brothers: Richard Campbell and David Campbell, both of Piqua; 10 grandchildren: Sierra (Austin) Yingst, Scott Branscum, Shayden Sullenberger, Benjamin Garrett, Karissa Atkins, Kadale Atkins, Kayli Anderson, Anson Cox, Elle Campbell, and Cerenity Ketterer; and seven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by four brothers, one sister, one son-in-law: Scott Sullenberger, and one granddaughter: Toni Nicole Cox.
Philip proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1969-1972. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Piqua, OH. Philip was a machine builder for many years. He worked for Baumfolder in Sidney, Super Drive in Piqua, Dayton Machine and Tool, Tomco Company, and Precision Aircraft in Dayton. Philip liked cars, fishing, and going to see movies, especially at the drive-ins. He really loved taking trips to go to the beaches in Florida, and lakes all over the country with his family.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
