Kenneth Wade Murrell age 86 of Loudon passed away Friday, January 29, 2021.

Ken was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church where he was an active servant as an Elder, church treasurer, and a member of the Church School Board.

He was a Major in the US Air Force and retired after nearly 25 years of service.

Following retirement, he enjoyed spending time as a Real Estate Broker while living in Mississippi. Ken and his wife, Carolyn enjoyed traveling and were considered RV Enthusiasts. After moving to Tennessee, he loved spending time with his family on the front porch and enjoying the beautiful scenery at Mike and Linda’s farm. He was also known to be an avid radio operator.

Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mildred (Patrick) Murrell; beloved step-mother, Mary Murrell; and his loving wife, Carolyn (Fussell) Murrell.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Murrell and Linda Klingerman, Mitchell and Stacey Murrell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Faye Murrell, Dennis and Shirley Murrell, Mark and Karen Murrell; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit the funeral home 10 AM – 5 PM Wednesday, February 10th to view and sign the guest book for Ken’s family. A service to honor and remember Ken will be privately held Thursday, February 11th at the East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with military honors conferred by the US Air Force and the East Tennessee Honor Guard.
