Steven Neal Roberts, 61, Cooperton Valley, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was born February 20, 1959 in Hobart, Oklahoma to Leon and Shirley (Willis) Roberts. He was raised in the Snyder area, and was a 1977 graduate of Snyder High School. He was a graduate of the Oklahoma Police Academy in 1985, and went on to serve with the Altus, Oklahoma Police Department before he retired after 29 years. Steven married the love of his life, Tammy Jean Stoll on August 1, 1980 in Indiahoma, Oklahoma. They were blessed with two beautiful blonde headed blue eyed boys, Heath Kyle and Travis Kurt. Steve and Tammy started as high school sweethearts and worked together building their dream. He went to the police academy and put Tammy through nursing school, to give their growing family a better life. From their happy marriage, to their beautiful family and their small cattle ranch, they truly lived out their love story. Two young kids that made good on the American dream. Steve loved riding horses, water skiing, competition pistol shooting, and driving the cattle truck. The highlight of each year was working cattle with his family. After the boys had left the nest, he and Tammy loved traveling the country on motorcycles with their Harley group. His boys blessed him with two lovely daughter-in-laws, and they gave him four grandchildren who were the lights of his life. Going to grandkids activities, playing on the beach or at the lake, and wrestling with them on the floor were some of his favorite things in life. He will always be known for his ornery streak, his infectious laugh, and always cracking a joke when things got too serious or teasing them to make them smile. He has a host of family and friends who will definitely have a void in their lives now that he is gone. To say he will be missed is an understatement.

He is survived by his wife Tammy (Stoll) Roberts of the home, two sons, Heath Roberts, his wife Morgan and their children Hoyt and Sloane of Rocky, Oklahoma, Travis Roberts and his wife Kristen and their children Karlee and Kennedy of Yukon, Oklahoma, his mother, Shirley Roberts of Snyder, Oklahoma, brother Mike Roberts and wife Alisha of Snyder, Oklahoma, niece Hillary Lanig and husband Brad and their children Alliee, Mylee and Creed of Roosevelt, Oklahoma, nephew Tyler Roberts and his wife Lakin of Yukon, Oklahoma, sister-in-law Jeanne Roberts of Mountain Park, Oklahoma, nephew Adam Roberts of El Reno, Oklahoma, and niece Caity Hood and husband Justin of Byers, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Roberts, brother Roger Roberts and his mother-in-law Rama Jean Stoll.
