MARK A. GATES, 60, of Port Jefferson, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Allenview Healthcare Center.

He was born on March 13, 1960 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Jo Ann (Zwiesler) Gates.

He is survived by his loving family brothers Dave (Ellen) Gates, Brian (Karen) Gates, and Andy (Tonia) Gates, sister Lori (Jim) Crawford, brother in law Mark Mitchell, nieces Kelli, Kristen, Chelsie, and Danielle, nephews Matt, Chad, Ben, Cody, Jacob, and Jacob, 14 grand nieces and nephews, and several other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Deb Mitchell.

Mark loved his Cincinnati Reds and Bengal's, he also enjoyed the Special Olympics, playing softball and bowling, an Elvis man and county music, he loved the pets he had in his life, especially Pete the dog. Mark had worked for S&H Products. Most of all Mark enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who love him.

Services are at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson, Ohio.
