Services for Eddie Gene Matthews will be held Monday, November 30, 2020 10:00 AM graveside in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton, MS.

Mr. Matthews, age 65, died on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at his residence in Greenwood.

He was born on April 9, 1955 to the late Charles and Faye Hood Matthews and lived in Greenwood, MS. He worked at Binswanger Glass for a number of years before retiring as an electrician and was an US Army veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Connie Faye Brooks; and a brother, Kenneth Charles Matthews.

He is survived by his three nieces, Melissa Brooks James of Carrollton, MS, Jennifer Brooks Raby of Itta Bena, MS, and Keri Ann Matthews of Batesville, MS; nephew, Kristopher Matthews; great niece, Madison Collett; great nephew, Tyler Brooks; step son, Donnie Walker of Attala County, MS; two step daughters, Susan Swindle of Carrollton, MS, and Niki Daves of Carrollton, MS; and six step grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ricky James, Mark Raby, Tyler Brooks, Donnie Walker, Jason Jackson, and Grady Collett.
