Mr. Murphy was born October 6, 1934 to the late Leon Murphy and Madelyn Massey Nesbitt. Preceded in death by his step-father Morgan Nesbitt. He was retired car salesman; avid St Louis Cardinals baseball fan and avid Clarksburg Basketball fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years June Murphy of Clarksburg, Tennessee; one daughter Toni Murphy of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; one sister Mignon Edwards of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one brother Barry Mac Murphy of Huntingdon, Tennessee; one grand-dog Mia; several very special nieces and nephews.
