Funeral service for Rose Marie Morris, age 86, of Bastrop, Louisiana will be 2PM, Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Cox Funeral Home with Bro. James Moffett and Bro. Bruce Hankins officiating. Interment will be in the Bonita Road Baptist Church Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Saturday from 12PM - 2PM at Cox Funeral Home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Eugene Morris Sr.; infant son, Michael Shane Morris; granddaughter, Abrah Morris; great grandson, Sawyer Duel Carson; parents, Estelle Bellon and Sarah Ann Bellon; two brothers, Burt Bellon and Sonny Bellon; three sisters, Mamie Castete, Vinnie Baugher, Helen Gaspard; daughter-in-laws, Vickie Morris and Judy Morris.
Rose is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Clarence "Eugene" Morris Jr. and Debbie Morris of Farmerville, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Uptigrove and Ronald Uptigrove of Bastrop, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Jody Straughn and Jimmy Straughn of Bastrop, Louisiana; son, Mark Morris of Dubach, Louisiana; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Stella Waits of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Pallbearers will be Shane Morris, Danny Boatright, Nathan Morris, Kenn Dickey, Jeremy Uptigrove, Bill Stephens, Korey Morris, Matt Carson.
Honorary pallbearers will be great grandsons.
