Marshall D. Magee, age 66 of Florence, WI, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Evergreen Health Services in Shawano. Marshall was born on March 24, 1954 to the late Marshall W. and Gloria A. (Heinz) Magee. He graduated from Shawano High School in 1972. Horses were his passion and he loved them his entire life. Marshall lived in Illinois most of his life owning and training Standardbred Harness Horses until 2019 when he retired. He then moved to Florence, where he enjoyed the north woods, deer hunting, and fishing.
Marshall is survived by his sons, Brandon Magee and Darrick (Nancy Brito) Magee; granddaughters, Madeline, Eloise, and Sofia; his mother, Gloria Magee; two sisters, Mary Haws and Maribeth Magee-Felmer; and one brother, Mark (Pat) Magee; one uncle, Bill. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Marshall W. Magee and his grandparents.
Graveside services will be held for Marshall at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Angelica with Pastor Lorretta Waegli officiating.
A sincere “thank you” to Marshall’s relatives and friends who supported him throughout his courageous battle with cancer. A special “thank you” to his Northwoods friends who provided the support and friendship allowing him to remain in his home for as long as he could. We will always remember your kindness and will be forever grateful.
