Linda Jean (Burton)Glover 76, entered into eternal rest on January 26th, 2021. She entered into life the daughter of Nelson Burton and Mary Alice (Craig) Burton Pavy on September 30th, 1944. Both parents preceded her in death. She was baptized at Blood River Baptist Church in New Concord, Kentucky. Linda had a life full of adventures, along with a very strong work ethic that took her on a journey of serving others. Her life of traveling allowed her to touch so many people over a forty year span, that to this day will describe her as the sweetest lady they ever met. In her younger years, she loved living in Panama City, Florida with former husband Joe, Sr., and desired some of her ashes to be scattered there. She also enjoyed Kentucky, and loved the Derby. Linda loved music, and a good time dancing. In her later years, you could spot her all around town looking for yard sales with any or all of her three daughters. She liked playing bingo, talking on the phone to friends and family for hours at a time. Her company was hugely popular, and occasionally fought over. She enjoyed watching game shows, food and animal channels. Linda most especially liked when her children would drop by for a visit and end up watching and playing along with game shows for hours. Another favorite memory will be of her with her kids and grandkids playing competitive board games. She was determined to win, but did it mostly because she loved when the games quickly turned into laughter so hard there were tears. That laughter to tears could be shared among them without words being spoken and will live on forever thanks to the sweetest Mom in the world. As busy as she was with five kids, she still had lots of close friends, other loves and family members. The memories are impossible to contain on paper. Lastly, her absolute favorite memories of past few years are the trips to Terre Haute to visit with her son Joe and family. She would talk with a glow in her face, and that sweet voice, about how the car ride alone was one of the most beautiful trips she ever took. It was the love she gave to her children and grandchildren that meant the most in her life. There are no words to describe how much she was loved back, will be missed by all and will always be the heart of the family. She would want mentioned that she was preceded in death by her one of a kind, cherished, best friend Vickie Stinson. She also has living younger brother, Mike Thompson. Her legacy includes two sons, Scott Glover of Scottsburg, Indiana and Joe (Amy) Glover, Jr. of Farmersburg, Indiana; three daughters, Lynisa (Mark) Goetzinger of Underwood, Indiana, Jeanie (Rob) Simms of Louisville, Kentucky and Tammy Ritchey of Scottsburg, Indiana; a brother, Michael (Selina) Thompson of Scottsburg, Indiana; nine grandchildren, C.J., Rusty, Mandy, Sam, Daniel, Cannan, Chelsey, Emily and Michael and fifteen great grandchildren, Maddy, Codi, Jaden, Caine, Cauis, Elijah, Isaac, Wesley, Lana, Mariam, Nathan, Lilly, Mason, Daisy and Naomi. Cremation services were entrusted to Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana
