Gwendolyn Faye Collett, 80, a resident of Blue Grass, Iowa died on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at her home.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home. Masks will be required, and social distancing expected for those attending her services. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice.

She was born in Randolph, Iowa on April 8, 1940, the daughter of Carl and Alletta (Groesbeck) Graham. Gwendolyn formerly resided in Arizona for many years and was employed as a Cardiology Technician.

On June 30, 2014, she was united in marriage to John R. Collett Jr. in Davenport. She was a member of the Calvary Church of the Quad-Cities and in her spare time, enjoyed doing cryptograph puzzles.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, John; her daughters, Gabriel (Mike) Corona of Phoenix, Arizona and Tamara (Randy) Feldt of Blue Grass; her son, Samuel Hicks II of Rock Island, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marilyn Sue Hutchinson.

Gwen was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Hicks; and her brothers, Roger Graham, Doyle Graham, John Graham and David Graham.
