Doris Nester Adams, age 96 formerly of Laurinburg passed to her Heavenly home on January 27, 2021.
She was born September 25, 1924 in Surry County, North Carolina to the late Benton Nester and Sadie Lowe Nester. She was the loving and devoted wife of 71 years to the late Clayton Raymond Adams who preceded her in death in 2016.
Doris retired after many years of service with G.B. Baines and Associates. She served as a longtime faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Laurinburg and The Pilot Club of Laurinburg. Mrs. Doris was a delightful lady who shared her loving spirit and encouragement with all she encountered. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, a devoted friend who will truly be missed.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by siblings, Maynard Nester, James Nester and Betty Badgett.
Doris is survived by her daughters, Dianne Adams Wheaton and husband, Don of Winston Salem, NC; Pamela Adams Wilson and husband, Ronnie of Lexington, NC; granddaughter, Kimberly Bauer and husband, Scott of Lexington, NC, and her great grandchildren, Caitlyn Bauer, Andrew Bauer, Emily Bauer; sister-in-law, Lib Nester of Sparta, NC; along with her many loving nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at graveside on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Jessup’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Pilot Mountain, NC. A time of viewing will be on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Richard Boles Funeral Service following all COVID19 restrictions.
