Charles E. Merriman of Sheridan passed away on January 26, 2021. Charles was born on July 8, 1924 to Carl and Ruth (Allen) Merriman in Mooresville Indiana.

He graduated from Westfield High School; Class of 1942.

Charles enlisted in the United States Army, and proudly served his country during World War II; He was assigned to work as a medic on the St. Mary Hospital Ship. After the war Charles returned home and used his GI Bill and enrolled into Butler University; He graduated in 1949 with a degree in Botany. He owned and operated Merriman Feed and Seed company in Sheridan

He married Roeberta May King on January 28, 1949. She preceded him in death on July 27 2002.

Survivors include 3 children, Debbie Merriman, Robert Merriman, and Jeff (Debbie) Merriman, 6 Grandchildren, and 8 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother; Norman Merriman.

Services for Charles will be private.
