Pipes, Theresa Thomisee


"T" or more fondly known by her grandchildren as "T O" "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad." A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of West Monroe, LA, she died June 18, 2012. Theresa was born on November 21, 1926, in Orange, Texas. She was a graduate of Northeastern Louisiana University in Monroe, La. She is survived by daughter, Shan Pipes Campbell and her husband Clint Campbell, two grandsons, Alex Campbell and Matthew Campbell, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Mack Pipes, " Bunny"; her parents, Walter and Marie Thomisee; her sisters, Nellie Fisher, Edna Shean, Bea Carroll, and her brother, Walter Thomisee. Theresa was a founding member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for her cookies and pies. She enjoyed sewing, smocking, china painting and being involved in her church and her homemaker's group as well as various foundations in the Baton Rouge area. She also enjoyed crafts and making gifts for the people that she loved as well as other charitable endeavors. Services will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2525 Stuart Ave, Baton Rouge, on Friday, June 22, 2012. Visitation from 1:30 -2:30 pm with burial Mass beginning at 2:30 pm, conducted by Father Michael Collins of St. Jude Catholic Church. Honorary pallbearers are Alex Campbell, Matthew Campbell, Rodney Shean, Randy Thomisee, Bill Russell, Lewis Ford, Jerry West and Bradley Thomisee.
