Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hart’s Chapel of Cherry Street with Pastor Wesley Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends Monday, November 9, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hart’s on Cherry Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Seasons Worship Center, 6750 Old Gordon Rd., Dry Branch, GA 31020.
The daughter of the late Prospero and Preciliana Lujan Barela , Mrs. Williams was a dedicated mother and loved passing down her family traditions to her family.
She enjoyed going to New Seasons Worship Center, grocery shopping, baking, taking care of her children, and spending time with her family. She retired from Bassett Furniture as an assembly line worker.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Williams; son, Eddie Chavez; brothers, Chano Barela and George Barela; and sisters, Fita Lopez and Cory Martinez.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her children, Christopher Williams and Lamar Williams (Roxie), both of Twiggs County, Shirley Williams Tanner (Wesley) of Dry Branch, Georgia, Robert “Bobby” Williams of Macon, Theresa “Terry” DaSilva (Ed) of Decatur, Georgia, and Nita Williams of Twiggs County; 13 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren.
