Diana Lynn Peterson, 61, of Knob Noster, Missouri passed away on January 25, 2021 after courageously battling Glioblastoma for 9 months.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Dolores Wilkens and most recently by her sister Cindy Cantrell. God must have known they needed each other (or he was looking for a pair to share a little music and create a little fun).

Diana will always be remembered for her kindness to others, her love of music, whistling and gardening and most recently for her joy of rock painting. She tirelessly played the lottery every week hoping for even the smallest jackpot. She loved sharing her faith in God with those around her.

Diana was one of the lucky ones who found joy in her employment and those she worked with at All-Pro Electrical in Warrensburg. Her friends there were considered family and she appreciated them all until the very end of her days on this earth.

Diana leaves behind a brother, David Wilkens and a sister, Sharon Hodson. Her nieces and nephews were so very special to her. She enjoyed every minute and every accomplishment from each and every one.

A commemoration of Diana’s life will be held at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, Missouri on Saturday, January 30, 2021. Visitation at 11:00am and services to follow at 12:00pm. Burial will take place at Knob Noster Cemetery. Pallbearers are as follows-David Wilkens, Monty Hodson, Zachary Hodson, Zane Hodson, Gareth Johnson, Gage Johnson and Tanner Johnson.

Diana was a big Kansas City Chiefs fan. For Diana, we ask that you dress casual or in your favorite Chiefs attire. We also ask that you remember her fondly by painting her a rock to be left at her final resting place, whistle while you work and always stay humble and kind.

In lieu of flowers, Diana would want any donations in her name to go to Old Drum Animal Shelter (with checks made payable to Warrensburg Animal Rescue) to help in their mission of keeping our beloved pets safe until their forever home can be found.
