He was a member of the Widener Baptist Church. He worked for the Sheridan Detention Center until he retired due to his disability. Gary loved hanging out with family and friends. He was an avid Razorback Football fan. He also loved Elvis Presley, he would go to Elvis week in Memphis every year. His favorite blessings was his five grand-children: Madison, Gabriel, Everleigh, Brooklyn, and Aaron.
Gary leaves two children, Daniel (Amanda) Stevens of Jonesboro and Amelia Smith of Forrest City. He leaves an adopted daughter Jerrie Marie Morris of Forrest City. He leaves two sisters, Debbie Webb of Sheridan Arkansas and Michelle Collins of Lonoke. He leaves his nephews and nieces that he loved just like his own children, Ski Webb, Miles Webb(Amber), Trey Duncan(Christina), Wanda Kinder, Johnny Neal and Priscilla Lee (Billy), along with several great nephews and nieces. He also leaves an aunt, Carolyn Bittle, a special friend, Jan Ehler, and many more wonderful extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Alvin Stevens and Wanda Stevens and two siblings, Alvin Lee Stevens and Shelia Harlan.
