He was a loving husband and brother, good neighbor and supportive friend to many. Michael was a 1965 graduate of New Albany High School, a United States Navy Vietnam War veteran and retiree from Gallagher Station (Duke Energy) in 2001. He loved collecting pottery, fishing, raising bees, making wine and sitting by the fireplace with his dog, Sadie. Michael was a member of VFW Post 1693 and the Pottery Lovers Association.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara (Von Allmen) Foster; siblings, Anna Foster, Mark Foster, Sr. (Mary), Martina Foster; nephew, Mark Foster, Jr. (Dawn); niece, Janette Grim (Gary); great-niece and nephew, Jessica and Mark Foster III.
Michael's wish was to be cremated and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions was entrusted with his care.
